EQTV - Electric Shock by F(x)

Fxcover

By Javi Lopez

STOP THE WORLD - The flawless Korean princess from F(x) are back this summer with shocking material (literally...) Electric Shock is one solid piece of kpop heaven.

Even though the only thing I get about the whole song is 'na na nana, e-e-e electric shock' STILL SLAYS MY LIFE - The video, awesome scenography, they all look pretty, glamorous (I LOVE YOU, AMBER), the choreography, awesome as always. There is nothing bad about Electric Shock. Anyways, I don't know about something this girls can do wrong.

I am literally dancing and listen to Electric Shock as I type this. It's so catchy and I can't stop listening to it. Definitely a summer Jam. And I am forever in love with Amber. There is an iTunes button and the YouTube link below. Clicky click.

If Only This Song Was In English: Listen To "Gwna Beth Sydd Rhaid" by Clinigol (feat Carys Eleri)

Clinigol

By Mandy Rogers

If I were asked to make comment on Welsh electro pop music, my first thoughts would naturally turn to our English singing friend Bright Light Bright Light or Marina. However, it is a rare find to discover something just as dance contemporary but also sung in the Welsh native tongue.

Cardiff based duo Clinigol allow their heritage to shine, transcending language barriers and go on to prove that good pop stands up on it’s own merits regardless of it’s origin. In some extreme cases you might also see this rule applied to some of the Eurovision entries, errrr possibly…….

Clinigol though, are a dab hand at it! Take a listen to the full shimmering splendour on “Gwna Beth Sydd Rhaid” sure it sounds rather crazily like Kylie singing backwards, but it’s definitely primed, danceable and a deliciously tune worthy experience nonetheless.

Gwna Beth Sydd Rhaid” is plucked from Clinigol’s sophomore album “Discopolis”.

Having now heard that quite stellar pop offering from Clinigol, throw caution to the wind and expand your mind into the full beauty of the music.  Go grab a further taste of the curious yet mesmerising blend of massive dance ready beats that come together to form an intriguingly contemporary collection of tracks. Listen to and download if you like the “Discopolis” mini mix album sampler.

If Only This Song Was in English: Watch “I Ti Ne Mojesh Da Me Spresh” by Divna feat Miro, Krisko

Divna

By Mandy Rogers

Every so often a non-English singing gem is brought to our attention that entrenches itself into our brains and makes us want to take a crash course in an alternative language so that we can trill along with it.

Turn up the volume on Bulgaria! I can honestly say that I’ve never taken notice of anything Bulgarian before! So it’s musical map marking with us falls to a cute looking 14 year old girl named Divna.

The one tender of years is currently topping the charts of her home nation with a super boppy number called “I Ti Ne Mojesh Da Me Spresh” which we have absolutely no idea what on earth it is about.  Anyway, no matters, it’s dance stomping, and disco pumping enough to rattle our pots and pans in frothy euro pop excitement.

By looks of the accompanying video it would appear that Louie Spence was booked out of the Pineapple Dance Studio the day this was filmed - but it’s always good to see Britney’s  “Baby One More Time” choreography reliably stands the test of time in matters of breaking out artists pop videos.  We jest, of course, but come on, there are definitely some tried and tested Britney moments nestled in here.
