EQ Chart - "Bad Romance" by Lady Gaga is Number One (Like duh)

 ChristmasLights.jpg

Like a speeding comet through the galaxy on a certain path to collision on Earth, Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance" came out of nowhere and has lit the world of pop ablaze. Not only has EQ proclaimed it to be the best single of 2009, but other influential bloggers and musicians have put their reservations of Gaga aside and proclaimed their love of this quirky in-ya-face little diddy of a song. The question now remains, will she knock Cheryl Cole of the UK top spot this week? Will she score another hit in the US? It will be mighty interesting to see the results this coming week.

Here is EQ's top 50 songs for this week. A few surpises - The Good Natured debuting at number 2 with an EP track and Ellie Goulding's triumphant campaign for "Under The Sheets" has not gone unnoticed either. It really is all about the girls isn't it this week?!

But before the chart...A special shout out to the ladies Miss Frank who got booted off X Factor last night. You ladies brought it and didn't deserve to go. Please stay together as a group and keep trying - your journey was truly inspirational and I think you should release "Love Don't Live Here Anymore" as a single - best rendition of that song I've ever heard...

Those zany boys from Ou Est Le Swimming Pool hold the top spot on EQ this week with "Dance The Way I Feel" and have bumped Parralox from the number one spot.  I simply can't get enough of this punchy electro-pop diddy.  Meanwhile, "You And I" by Medina continues to mesmerize my iPod whilst Whitney Houston continues to work it with "Million Dollar Bill".  Did you see her wardrobe malfunction last night on X Factor?  Loved it!
