Free Download - DJ Adamix New Podcast "Tidal Rave"

 Djadamix

EQ Live's resident spinster, DJ Adamix has just finished his latest hour long non-stop podcast entitled "Tidal Rave" that you can download for free on his Podcast page.

If you've never come to the EQ Live nights but wondered what the music is like in-between the live acts, this podcast is a great example of the type of music DJ Adamix spins.

DJ Adamix had this to say about his latest creation...

"I called this mix "Tidal Rave" because I tried to make it a tsunami of full-on floorfillers. I love what's happening with urban/dance crossover at the moment with Pitbull, Akon/Guetta and Taio Cruz, so I've included a couple of those tracks, alongside the other big tunes. Also threw in some nu-retro in the form of banging No Doubt and Belinda Carlisle mixes. Hope you enjoy it too."

Don't forget the next EQ Live night is on November 21st with music by DJ Adamix of course and live performances by Waterloo, Temposhark, Red Blooded Women, KCAT and LoebeatClick here for FREE guestlist and info.

DJ Adamix SO Hot Column: New Podcast, 90's Recycling, Luciana and EQ Club Night!

Dream_guestlist

DJ Adamix and EQ appear in this week's Boyz Magazine along with Kylie, Susan Boyle, Lady Gaga and Perez - see page 22!

Hey it's DJ Adamix here!  First things first EQs- check out my new podcast, "Back to the Future" - just click here and hit play!

Someone said to me recently that there were only a finite number of combinations of musical notes, so at some point we would have to start recycling melodies. Well it seems that point came some time ago.

I'm currently in 90's recycling mode, listening to new versions of Cathy Dennis' "Touch Me (All Night Long) by Nightshifterz and "Let Me Be Your Fantasy" by Carl Kennedy (wasn't he in Neighbours?) Vs Baby D. I've wished for ages that someone would remix Strike's "U Sure Do", so I finally took it into my own hands and mashed it up with Seb Leger's mix of Yazoo's "Don't Go". See if it works in my podcast, where you can hear all these and more!

Also on high rotation in my digital decks is the super-hot Luciana. I can't get enough of her talky talky sweary sweary style - especially in the Original mix of "I Like That" - and I can't wait to see her rock the next [email protected] club night this Friday 31st July - make sure you don't miss this one as it's going to be massive!

Finally, Miss Lynsey is really hitting the spot this year, churning out hot track after hot track!  Check out her latest track "Take My Love" with Sound of Soho here, and have a listen to all Miss Lynsey's new tracks on her MySpace, including the anthemic "Ready 4 More" - out now on Hed Kandi.

Make sure to check out DJ Adamix on the decks this Friday night at [email protected] - FREE ENTRY!

Coming up tomorrow - the EQ interview with Luciana!

DJ Adamix "SO HOT" Column: Amanda Wilson, Empire Of The Sun & Cassette Electrik

Adamix

Not long to go now until Electroqueer re-launches at our fantastic new venue Underbelly at Zigfrid on Friday 6th March. I think this is the most excited I've ever been about an EQ night, which is saying something. I have a feeling it's going to be amazing, so don't miss it.

I was doing my first ever nu-retro mix this week and realised I don't really know what it is. New mixes of old tracks form the core of the dance music scene, so how old does a track need to be to qualify as 'nu-retro'?  Still, I'm cobbling something together and I'll post it once it's finished.

Over to music that really is new, my mate James has written the lovely Amanda Wilson's (who performed at my night 'Popshow' before she was famous!) first solo single. "Spin It Again" is just out in Italy on vinyl, but you can listen to it on YouTube. Nice one James!

Track of the year so far for me is without a doubt Sam La More's 12" mix of "Walking on a Dream". Whenever I play it people want to know who it is. Well it's Empire of the Sun, an Aussie duo who I love - check out their Myspace if you haven't already.

And finally, I just finished an electrohouse remix with the lovely and talented Cassette Electrik of their track "No Knowing". It's playing on my Myspace - Hope you like it!
