EQ Exclusive: Behind-The-Scenes On Tao Hypah's Music Video For "Play The Girl"

There are very few new artists I champion these days, but when it comes to the incredibe pop music that Dutch wunderkid Tao Hypah makes, it's virtually impossible for me to not get more than just a little bit excited.

I was very lucky to score some behind-the-scenes pics from his debut music video for surefire anthem "Play The Girl" which will be debuting right here on EQ in a few weeks and from the looks of these pictures, they aren't doing anything but light the flame of my mega fanboy enthusiasm even more. 

It's looking pretty likely too that "Celeb" will be released as a UK single too in conjunction with "Play The Girl" being the first official single.  For those of you who bought "This Beat Is Poptronik - Volume One" you'll recognize "Celeb" as one of the more punchy tracks on the album - one that you could only get on our debut compilation album with Aztec Records.

EQ Exclusive Video - Who Is Casey Spooner?

 

One record that I have secretly been lusting over is the new Casey Spooner album "Adult Contemporary" which was shipped out to tastemakers last month.  The album is full of grace and poise and it's lucious atmospheric tracks are something that you can easily get lost in. I highly recommend it.

We caught up with the Casey Spooner recently to talk about the making of "Adult Contemporary" and the inspiration behind his "cheeky" new video to "Spanish Teenager", a track he penned with Scissor Sisters frontman Jake Shears. If I'm being honest...you probably haven't heard too much about Shayne Ward here on EQ.  That's because, well the X-Factor winner never really grabbed my attention before.  But truth be told, I actually quite like his new single "Gotta Be Somebody".  I'm told it's going to be released on November 7th and album "Obsession" shortly follows on November 15th just in time for Christmas.

Now one thing I noticed about the whole "Obsession" campaign is that it's all going a little bit Calvin Klein.  From the album title, to the racy wet jeans shot that Shayne sent us after the jump - I totally thought it was a really skimpy speedo at first...  You can just smell the sweat and testosterone can't you?!  Yum.  Anywho - enjoy this little behind-the-scenes footage of the album shoot and if you want to hear the single - press play on the Soundcloud above.
